YOUR WEDDING IN ARMENIA

Yerevan is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, and Armenia offers an exceptional setting for a destination wedding. Dramatic mountains, ancient churches, and expansive vineyards meet contemporary comforts and genuine hospitality.

Armenia also offers compelling value compared with many European wedding destinations, making it possible to create a beautiful celebration across a range of styles and scales. Wedding season typically runs from April to October — from fresh spring days in the mountains to warm autumn evenings in the vineyards.

For many international travellers, visiting Armenia is straightforward, although entry requirements depend on nationality. Your guests can experience far more than the celebration itself: historic monasteries such as UNESCO-listed Geghard, winery visits, walks through Yerevan, and time by Lake Sevan. The food is part of the experience, too — freshly baked lavash, local cheeses, tolma, Armenian wines, and brandy.

And, of course, there is NOOR Wedding. We know the venues, unexpected viewpoints, and talented local professionals who make each celebration distinctive. We take care of the planning so you can be fully present for your wedding.

ARMENIAN WEDDING TRADITIONS

AND WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL

A Church Wedding and the Role of the Kavor.

A wedding ceremony in the Armenian Apostolic Church is deeply spiritual and symbolic. The kavor, or ceremonial godfather, has a special role: more than a witness, he is traditionally regarded as a spiritual guide to the new family. During the service, he holds a cross above the couple as a symbol of their unity before God and participates in the ceremonial procession around the altar.
