Some weddings are remembered for their grandeur, others for their stunning decor, and some leave a lasting impression for entirely different reasons.
Liza and Arthur’s wedding was one of those rare celebrations — a deeply meaningful, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully authentic story, where every aesthetic detail had a purpose, and behind the seamless organization stood genuine dedication, passion, and love for what we do.
45 Guests
9 Months of Planning
3 Dresses
2 Days
Liza and Arthur envisioned a wedding in Armenia with a European-style approach: a beautiful hotel where their guests could stay, an intimate celebration with just 45 guests, a wedding ceremony in a Russian Orthodox church, and, most importantly, no compromises on quality.
The couple had a clear budget and were willing to invest in the level of quality they envisioned.
From our very first conversation, it was clear that nothing about this wedding would be left to chance. Liza and Arthur knew exactly what they wanted:
“We want a wedding in the mountains.”
“It’s important for us to have a wedding ceremony in a Russian Orthodox church.”
“We want the very best Armenia has to offer.”
“And the color palette: white, green, and black. Classic and minimalist.”
The planning process began in December and lasted nine months.
The wedding took place over two days, August 11 and 12.
A MEANINGFUL CHOICE TO HAVE A CHURCH WEDDING
One of the most meaningful parts of the wedding was the church ceremony. For Liza and Arthur, it was far more than a formality — it was a deeply personal and significant step in their journey together.
They approached the preparations with great care and reverence, even changing their original wedding date. The celebration was initially planned for August 19, but this date coincides with the Orthodox Feast of the Transfiguration, also known as the Apple Feast of the Savior, when wedding ceremonies are not traditionally performed.
Ultimately, the church wedding took place on August 11, followed by the wedding celebration and reception the next day.
For the wedding planner, this experience was equally special. The ceremony followed the traditions and religious rites of the Russian Orthodox Church, offering a meaningful contrast to the Armenian wedding customs we are more familiar with and adding another layer of depth and significance to the celebration.
MOUNTAINS THAT HAD NEVER HOSTED A WEDDING BEFORE
The second day of the wedding took place in Dilijan — surrounded by mountains and air filled with stillness.
It was here that one of the most complex, yet most beautiful, parts of the project came to life — the vow exchange ceremony area.
The location was new. Before Liza and Arthur’s wedding, no events like this had ever been held there.
For the planner, it was important not to repeat what had already been done. Other weddings had taken place at this hotel before, and the goal was to create something truly unique. The challenge was made even greater by the couple’s wish to have all guests seated, while keeping the площадка level and visually clean.
Negotiations with the hotel owner took a long time. In the end, he agreed to let us use the new location free of charge, trusting our team and knowing the level of our previous projects. But behind that decision was a huge amount of work: separate transportation for the guests, chairs brought in from Yerevan, technical equipment, setup, and decor — everything had to be built from scratch.
“It feels like you’re even more inspired than we are,” Liza and Arthur said at the time.
And it was true. Because that is exactly how truly remarkable projects are born — when the planner believes in the idea just as deeply as the couple does.
AN EFFORTLESS FEELING IN EVERY DETAIL
Throughout their wedding celebrations, Liza and Arthur were remarkably relaxed and happy. Getting ready was effortless and full of laughter — especially on the groom’s side, which isn’t always the case. Arthur enthusiastically took part in the photo and video shoots, joked around, and kept the mood light and joyful.
That’s exactly why their photos and videos turned out so natural and full of life — no tension, no forced poses, just genuine moments.
After the church ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception at El Garden, featuring fresh fruits, bruschetta, cheeses, lemonades, and Prosecco, along with heartfelt congratulations and time to simply enjoy each other’s company.
Later that evening, everyone headed to Dilijan, where our team began working through the night — setting up the decor, installing technical equipment, and preparing everything for the main celebration the following day.
A EUROPEAN-STYLE WEDDING WITH A SUBTLE…
The wedding itself was designed with a distinctly European aesthetic. The only touches of Armenian tradition were thoughtfully chosen, blending humor with genuine respect for the local culture.
Arthur had always dreamed of dancing the traditional Armenian Shalakho, while Liza — quite unexpectedly — suggested including the famous “barbecue dance.”
The idea initially took everyone by surprise, but eventually evolved into a stylish performance featuring music, choreography, and a traditional barbecue grill. It felt more like a contemporary show than a conventional folk tradition. For guests arriving from different countries, it became one of the most memorable highlights of the evening.
Another meaningful detail was the apricots. Although August was already past their season, the wedding planner managed to find them and bring them from Yerevan. They became part of the reception and added a personal touch that was especially important to Arthur.
The wedding was hosted by Mikhail Belyanin, whom the couple had once seen at another wedding and never forgotten.
The music, the atmosphere, and the rhythm of the evening all came together effortlessly, creating a celebration that felt natural, personal, and perfectly balanced.
COLOR, TRUST, AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL
The color palette was decided from the very beginning: black, white, and rich green. A combination of timeless elegance, minimalism, and boldness. Liza wasn’t afraid to incorporate black into the wedding design, which opened up endless creative possibilities.
Black ribbons, candles, stationery, and personalized favor boxes for guests — every detail was carefully considered.
A dedicated graphic designer worked on all the wedding stationery, ensuring a cohesive visual identity across every element — from typography, menus, and signage to thank-you cards.
Even the technical tower at the ceremony site became part of the design. Rather than leaving it exposed, our team covered it with a custom-branded banner featuring the couple’s names, transforming a practical necessity into a thoughtful element of the overall aesthetic.
The floral design was intentionally minimalist, featuring lush greenery and delicate, light-colored flowers. Finding perfectly white roses in Armenia can be a challenge, but for this wedding, the overall feeling mattered more than any single detail — a sense of purity, openness, and effortless harmony with nature.
THE WORDS THAT MATTER MOST
One of the most touching moments came later that evening. The wedding planner was urgently called into the reception hall over the radio — the guests were calling out for her together.
Liza and Arthur took the microphone and publicly thanked her for all the work she had put into making their wedding so special.
The following day, Liza’s mother approached the planner, embraced her, and said:
“We really wanted everything to go well. But we never imagined it could be this wonderful. You showed us the very best of what Armenia has to offer.”
For the planner, these words were far more than a simple thank-you. They were a reminder that every challenge, every extra negotiation, every sleepless night, and every difficult decision had been worth it.
ABOUT LOVE, PEOPLE, AND GENUINE SERVICE
Liza and Arthur’s wedding was a story of thoughtful choices, trust, and genuine appreciation for every detail and every person involved.
It was about creating an atmosphere that no amount of beautiful decor could ever achieve without real emotions and meaningful connections.
And perhaps that’s exactly what made their celebration so special — effortlessly elegant, beautifully intimate, and filled with genuine happiness.
